چکیده
In this article, the two-phase water hammer theoretical and numerical simulation are provided. A mathematical formulation is presented to describe transient one-dimensional flow of bubbly gas-liquid mixtures without phase change in an horizontal pipe. The features two-fluid model for simulating flows investigated. governing equations were obtained from mass momentum conservation laws combined with interfacial interaction correlations. system steady-state solved through Runge-Kutta method. On other hand, equation solutions provided by Newton-Raphson methods. laborious calculation was carried out determine common pressure two phases. order improve robustness efficiency Richtmeyer-Lax-Wendroff method solving model, a flux corrected transport technique proposed. results proposed compared successfully corresponding homogeneous equilibrium experimental ones literature.

Validation of Cfd Models for Mono- and Polydisperse Air-water Two-phase Flows in Pipes
Many flow regimes in Nuclear Reactor Safety (NRS) Research are characterized by multiphase flows, where one of the phases is continuous and the other phase consists of gas or vapor of the liquid phase. The validation of the CFD multiphase flow models against detailed experimental data for simplified flow configurations is a basic requirement for the accurate prediction of more complex flows, li...

Modeling of Fluid Interaction Produced by Water Hammer
This paper compares the computational performance of two numerical methods for two models of Transient Flow. One model was defined by method of the Eulerian based expressed in a method of characteristics “MOC”, finite difference form. The other model was defined by method of Regression. Each method was encoded into an existing hydraulic simulation model. Results indicated that the accuracy of t...
متن کاملGodunov-type Solutions for Two-phase Water Hammer Flows
This paper focuses on the formulation and assessment of a second-order accurate Finite Volume (FV) shock-capturing scheme for simulating two-phase water hammer flows. The two-phase flow model is based on the single-equivalent fluid concept. The accuracy and numerical efficiency of the proposed scheme is compared to the fixedgrid MOC scheme with space-line interpolation. The results show that th...
متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
